Position description
Delivers services, in a consultative approach, to frontline and department operations leaders on employee relations, performance management, reasonable accommodations/return-to-work in collaboration with RCS, job evaluations, and other talent initiatives and issues. Provides interpretation of complex and interdependent HR policy and procedure situations. Provides HR input on operational decisions to frontline and operational leaders. Engages leaders to identify options and resources to meet operational needs and to build support for identified solutions. The HR Advisor collaborates with other parts of HR in a team approach to support customers' operational needs and to operationalize HR programs and solutions. Interprets and analyzes workforce data and trends to guide decision making and recommendations. Conducts HR investigations. Assists with accreditation surveys and internal audits to ensure compliance and consistency . Provides subject matter expertise on policies, employment/labor law, the investigative process, understanding workforce trends and applying best practices. Uses critical thinking, judgment, and persuasion to drive decisions that are in alignment with Mayo Clinic Values, recognizing site and cultural differences.
Primarily a remote work position, but must live within driving distance of Mayo Clinic Arizona campuses for occasional onsite expectations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 3 years relevant HR experience required; Master's degree preferred.
Additional qualifications
Demonstrated strong skills in written and oral communication, relationship building, negotiation, persuasion/influence, critical thinking, problem solving, data analysis, agility, and service excellence. The following certifications are preferred: Professional in Human Resources (PHR); Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR); Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR); Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP); Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
