Position description
Mayo Clinic Health System (MCHS) Southeast Minnesota region is seeking Board Certified/Board Eligible Diagnostic Radiologists to join our practice team of 10 highly functioning, collaborative Radiologists. The Southeastern Minnesota region has four major sites – Albert Lea, Austin, Owatonna, and Red Wing. Each site within the region has 2-3 radiologists. Group members function as general radiologists, read subspecialty exams relevant to their training, interpret breast imaging, and perform procedures. The basic procedures include joint injections and breast biopsies. The radiologists in the regional group read off a common list using an integrated EMR and PACS, which unifies the sites and distributes the workload.
  • This is a general radiology practice that includes breast imaging
    • Allows ample opportunity to maintain subspecialty skills across all modalities and subspecialty areas
  • Fellowship training is required.
  • No overnights and minimal call requirements.
    • No Procedural Call
  • Minimal to no travel

The region is staffed 225 physicians and 3,000 supporting staff who treated the needs of more than 189,000 patients during 2020. Mayo Clinic Health System’s southeast Minnesota region is focused on expanding digital options for patients, such as: Online self-scheduling; Express Care online; Patient Online Services; video visits; telehealth connections for specialty consults; and remote patient monitoring.

The four major sites in southeastern Minnesota – Albert Lea, Austin, Owatonna, and Red Wing are all within 60-90 minutes of Minneapolis/St. Paul. The region has ample outdoor recreation opportunities including trout fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, camping, hiking, cycling, jogging, golfing, and more.
