Site description
Duluth is a place like no other. An endless horizon where the largest freshwater lake in the world meets the sky. Rocky cliffs and pristine forests where you'll find miles of trails to explore. A thriving community where you can take in a show, explore nature, enjoy a meal and stay in comfort no matter where your plans take you. Duluth offers countless trails that course through forests and valleys, rugged, mountain-like peaks and stunning frozen vistas. When the weather warms, get outside and take in gorgeous landscapes with lush forests, wide open water and rocky outcroppings just begging to be explored. Spend a day on the water with a harbor cruise, charter fishing, sailing, kayaking or paddleboard - be it on the big lake, the bay or the St. Louis River. Take a dip at Park Point or slip into one of the many hillside streams. Experience nature while hiking trails, exploring parks or strolling the lakewalk. Or spend a day on one of our golf courses. In the fall, warm hues ignite the landscape. Take a fall colors tour on a historic train up the North Shore or into the St. Louis River wilderness. While you explore, watch for wildlife, especially the raptors that visit Hawk Ridge, 700 feet above the waterline.
