Position description
The department of Radiology in Eau Claire, WI is seeking board-certified/board-eligible Interventional Radiologists to join an 18 person highly functioning, collegial group of radiologists. You may expect a busy practice in a physician led financially stable organization, committed to both high quality patient care and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities: Join 3 fellowship-trained Interventional Radiologists (15 total radiologists), two interventional APPs and a dedicated clinic nurse. The team is supported by excellent relationships with referring MDs and participates in multiple multidisciplinary conferences. The practice includes PAD procedures, EVAR/TEVAR, all non-breast biopsies, interventional oncology including solid organ ablation and Y-90 therapy, venous interventions, vascular and dialysis access as well as a wide variety of general IR typical of a tertiary-level community practice. We are also the regional trauma center. The IRs are considered the vascular specialists and interpret most non-emergent vascular diagnostic exams.

We have a brand-new IR suite completed in summer 2019 and a hybrid OR for combined surgical/endovascular and trauma cases. There are also plans for a CT/angio suite accompanying a larger hospital expansion.

Scheduling includes:
  • 70% IR (vascular/non-vascular procedures and clinic) and 30% non-IR work, primarily acute care imaging. This is expected to grow to 80-90% IR within 5 years
  • Daily IR clinic staffed by both an MD and NP/PA. The NP/PA sees some patients independently and can also help the MD in a “resident” model
  • 1:4 IR call with a dedicated post-call Monday after every call weekend. Additional call compensation provided internally by flexible 'comp time'
