Position description
Provide operational management of rehabilitation services and clinical management of rehabilitation staff in alignment with institutional and department mission, vision, and objectives.
Serves as a key member of the regional rehabilitation leadership team with a focus on planning and implementation of policies and systems as well as advances in clinical care and implementation of standards/best practice. Assures regulatory compliance within assigned areas of responsibilities.
Collaborates with the Regional Director in program development, project management and implementation of clinical programs. Facilitates the attainment of departmental goals and objectives to promote optimal patient care.
Recruits, develops and supports the professional development of assigned staff. Serves as a resource for issues and communications. Maintains active and current knowledge of the practice in order to provide patient care and to assist / coach / mentor therapy staff.
Direct reports include rehabilitation department therapists, therapist assistants, therapy aides and other department personnel as assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Language Pathology Program. Minimum 3 years clinical experience required.
Additional qualifications
Preferred: Masters degree or higher preferred. Must possess demonstrated skills including: leadership, problem solving, communication, program development, physician relationship management and organization-wide and departmental vision and goal setting.
License or certification
Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy license in the state of Minnesota or eligible required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 3 months of hire.
