Position description
Assesses and treats patients referred for Physical Therapy by physicians, podiatrists, chiropractors, dentists and advanced registered nurse practitioners licensed in the State of Florida. Organizes and conducts Physical Therapy programs to restore function, maximize independence, reduce pain, and prevent or correct disability following disease, injury, or illness.

Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy with Florida State licensure to practice Physical Therapy.

EXPERIENCE:


INPATIENT: One year experience, which should include acute care, is preferred.

Additional qualifications
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification. Attends all regulatory body mandated educational programs, annually. Demonstrates an appropriate and accurate evaluation or treatment procedure. Demonstrates basic functional knowledge of dictation and computerized system for patient medical record documentation. Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development required for effective communication and care of child, adolescent, adult and older adult.

JOB KNOWLEDGE: Basic computer skills are preferred.

ADDL CONSIDERATIONS: Frequent stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting is required when moving patients and/or equipment during treatment. Due to the nature of the work, good interpersonal skills and sensitivity are necessary.

License or certification
Florida State licensure to practice Physical Therapy.

This position has a predetermined rate of $47.76 per hour.
