Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, one of 3 locations of the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center, has an established and growing physician practice with a national and international patient base. We have an outstanding thoracic and head & neck surgery, radiation oncology, interventional radiology and pulmonary medicine teams in addition to many basic scientists dedicated to cancer research. There are approximately 500 full time faculty physicians, 160 residents and fellows practice at this location. The salary and benefits package are commensurate with the candidate’s training and experience.

The Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is conducting a search for a Medical Oncologist with interest and expertise in thoracic and head & neck, cancers. The ideal candidate would be an oncologist with clinical experience and skills and ambition to expand the established thoracic and head & neck oncology programs at Mayo Clinic, FL, and is committed to developing and conducting investigator initiated, or pharmaceutical sponsored clinical trials and translational research.
A solid track record in publication and clinical trials design and conduct, in the field of thoracic and/or head & neck oncology, is desirable.
Our model of care involves a multi-disciplinary team (nurse practitioner, nurse and oncologist), as well as specialists from thoracic, head & neck surgery and radiation oncology. As Mayo Clinic is a comprehensive cancer center, our patients have access to comprehensive diagnostics and clinical trials through our phase I program, the phase II consortium, and national cooperative group studies.
Mayo Clinic Florida will provide the successful applicant with many opportunities to contribute to existing efforts, grow new programs, and pursue a personalized academic career path related to Thoracic and Head & Neck Oncology research and treatment, and continue to build a reputation nationally and internationally.
The applicant will also have the opportunity to teach fellows, residents and medical students.
License or certification
Board-certification or board-eligibility in Medical Oncology is required. Must be eligible for state of Florida licensure.
