Position descriptionThis position is located in London. Qualified candidates must be eligible to work in the U.K. and have an active registered U.K. general nurse license. Relocation is not provided. The Lead Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) supervises and participates in the day-to-day clinical operation of the endoscopy unit providing guidance and support to the clinical and support staff to ensure that quality patient or client focused care is delivered. When appropriate, the Lead Endoscopy RN provides professional patient care utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with the patient, families and interdisciplinary healthcare team to meet educational and discharge needs. This individual may assist in high-risk procedures and provide patient education for patients seen in the endoscopy unit. The Lead RN assures that appropriate care is delivered. In addition, the individual supports leadership through activities that include development of staff, teaching, community involvement, participation in committees and research (as applicable). The Lead RN is responsible to supervise nursing practice and support staff as appropriate within the endoscopy unit. The Lead Endoscopy RN may participate in clinical care outside of the endoscopy unit as needed. The Lead Endoscopy nurse will be responsible for equipment management as well as overall governance of infection prevention and control within the endoscopy suite.

- Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate degree program, with valid NMC pin.
- Minimum of 2 years leadership experience or 5 years practice experience.
- Extensive experience in the endoscopy with endoscopy certification as well as experience working within a JAG accredited endoscopy unit.
Additional qualifications- Management experience preferred.
- Any additional specialty training as required by the work area.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prioritise and co-ordinate own workload.
- Friendly and adaptable.
- Able to work as part of a team and have an awareness of clinical audits, risk assessment/mitigation and clinical governance and have IT competency.
- Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom. Must be fluent in English.
License or certificationRegistered General Nurse with valid NMC pin. Any additional specialty certification required by the work area.

Compensation DetailEducation, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum annual salary is £41,997.
