Depending upon the assigned work unit, the Receptionist receives direction from the Team Lead or Manager. The Receptionist works cooperatively with other office personnel. This role will also interact daily with consultants, administrators, residents, fellows, physicians, patients, visitors and other allied health staff throughout the organisation.

Position description
This position is located in London. Qualified candidates must be eligible to work in the U.K.. Relocation is not provided.

Often the first point of contact for patients. Greets patients, visitors, and other customers. Receives and screens phone calls and emails and provides patients with relevant information regarding available services, packages and pricing. Takes requests of various kinds and directs them appropriately. Directs patient/visitor/customer flow. Maintains constant communication with other departments or teams to facilitate the optimal patient experience. Schedules appointments, takes messages, distributes mail, information and supplies. Performs various clerical duties including typing, data entry, and filing. Mails correspondence, distributes mail, may collect and maintain data. Assists other office personnel as requested.




Qualifications
  • General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE). Formal vocational training of one year in a secretarial or computer training course is preferred. Minimum work experience of one year in a clerical or secretarial position is required.




Additional qualifications
  • Must be able to operate typical office equipment including computer, copy machine, calculator, facsimile machine, and telephone system.
  • Prior experience with data entry and/or computer word processing is preferred.
  • Medical terminology background is helpful.
  • Must have excellent communication and public relations skills and the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be self-directed with problem solving skills.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. Minimum salary is £25,000 annually.
