Why Mayo ClinicThe Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a CRNA to join a growing CRNA only practice at Mayo Clinic Health System in Menomonie, WI. The CRNA will be joining a team of four Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists. This position is also unique in that it offers the opportunity to practice independently and see a broad case mix that includes General Surgery, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, and Gastroenterology.
Competitive Total Compensation & Benefits Package:
- Competitive salary (base salary approximately $212,000 - $250,000)
- $20,000 sign-on bonus, paid with first paycheck
- $16,000 to $20,000 relocation bonus (based on distance moving, payable with your first paycheck)
- Accrue up to 28 days of Paid Time Off per year, which can be carried over from year-to-year. An advance of 40 hours of Paid Time Off loaded into your account for CRNAs with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Please tell us if a Mayo Clinic employee referred you to this position when you apply.Position descriptionThe Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) performs clinical anesthesia duties and takes appropriate responsibility for direct patient care and for on-call as assigned. The CRNA prioritizes anesthetic decisions, administers anesthetic agents under department protocols and guidelines, and communicates patient status to healthcare team members. This individual performs coordinating duties by facilitating staff coverage, assignments, and breaks as needed for anesthesia providers. This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the lifespan. Possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs as required. The CRNA demonstrates leadership through involvement on committees and/or team projects, education, and research and actively seeks to improve the practice through performance improvement initiatives. This individual is active in professional organizations and participates in community activity. Emergency response to airway or code situations may be required.
Position includes limited call responsibilities.
Opportunities for hybrid role across NWWI practice sites, providing regional skills in our critical-access hospitals (Barron, Menomonie, Eau Claire, Bloomer).
QualificationsThis position requires a registered nurse who has completed a formal program in nurse anesthesia. A minimum of a Master's degree required for all new hires after January 1, 2015. Graduate of a Council on Certification of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (COA) accredited school of nurse anesthesia.
Additional qualificationsA Doctoral (DNP, DNAP, DrAP, PhD) degree preferred.
License or certificationCurrent RN license by applicable state requirements. Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license required for CAH sites upon hire and within one year for non-CAH sites. Certified/recertified (CRNA) by the National Board on the Certification and Recertification of Nurse Anesthetist (NBCRNA) certification. Advanced Cardiac Lift Support (ACLS) required. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required for those working consistently with OB patients.
