The Division of General Internal Medicine, located within the Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Arizona, is currently seeking an Internist for a leadership appointment in our Executive, Development and International Section as Section Head. This section primarily encompasses the Executive Health Program, which is among the largest, oldest and most successful programs in the Nation. Board certification in Internal Medicine is required. Practice and leadership experience within an outpatient Internal Medicine practice is essential, and experience in an executive health, international medicine or concierge medicine program is highly desirable. Additional certifications within preventive medicine are desirable as well.
The selected candidate will demonstrate exceptional communication skills and maturity needed to care for our episodic ("non-primary care") patient population. Interests in advancing the science and practice of medicine within the division and the institution through research, education and innovative care models are added qualifications that will receive priority. This position includes an academic appointment in the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and provides opportunities to educate medical students in the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine, Arizona Campus.

License or certification
Qualified candidates should be board-certified/board-eligible in internal medicine with a desire for scholarly activity. Preference will be given to those candidates with additional year(s) of training in advanced General Internal Medicine (Chief Residency or fellowship) or internal medicine practice experience. Research training through fellowship or a Master’s Degree program is desirable, but not a prerequisite for application.
