The Parking Ambassador at the airport parking facilities has direct passenger and patient contact. This position must accurately handle cash transactions and record daily revenue activity. This position works alone in a small confined booth with exposure to hot and cold temperatures, vehicle exhaust, high dust and excessive noise. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment and maintaining the proper functioning of parking equipment. Assists in the daily enforcement of parking policy as set by Airport Administration. Works varied hours which may include days, evenings, holidays, and weekends with rotating days off as assigned. This position may be required to assist with fleet vehicles. Completes other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Must possess a valid Minnesota driver's license.
Previous customer service experience is required. Previous cash handling experience is preferred. Must be able to work independently. Requires excellent communication and human relation skills. Strong problem solving skills are necessary. Basic computer skills required. Must be able to read, write, and understand English.

Ability to shovel now may be expected around the attendance/ambassador's booth, and/or around the entrance gate/ traffic arm. Candidates with experience with experience powing snow may be desired for some as-needed assistance with the snow powing in the parking lot.
License or certification
Must possess a valid Minnesota driver's license.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $16.37 per hour.
Hours / Pay period
The Rochester Airport is open seven days a week, as well as the parking areas. There are multiple shifts available. There will be some more shift hours available, as well as afternoon and evenings. The core shift is an 8-hour shift and shifts may be available as early as 5:00 a.m. in morning, or afternoon and evening shifts available until 12:00 a.m. (midnight). There is some potential for some varied or flexible scheduling of the 8-hour shifts.
Some weekend shifts will be available, and/or a rotation or swing/flexibile scheduling to support the covearge. There may be morning shifts or afternoon and evenings available.
The Parking Ambassador will work at the Rochester Airport via the Rochester Airport Company.
