Position description
Sr. Management Consultants work with their consulting team to actively surface and solve problems for internal clients across Mayo Clinic’s practice, research, education and administrative areas. You will be given the creative freedom to find solutions to solve complex issues in health care. The Sr. Management Consultant provides senior-level business consulting services from strategy to execution for departments, sites, centers, and shields. Applies expertise in areas such as strategy formulation, execution, operations optimization, and translating innovation into practice.

A Sr. Management Consultant will:
• Support the Manager and begin to lead team members to structure project workstreams and apply knowledge of and demonstrated application of strategy formulation, execution, operations optimization, and translating innovation into practice.
• Independently run moderately complex workstreams
• Perform complex business case analysis for departments, sites, or shields including analyze quantitative and qualitative data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations to inform leadership decisions.
• Apply advanced consulting methods and models throughout complex project lifecycles. Consider both the business and technical needs of all clients with the goal of providing an innovative solution that meets current and future client needs.
• Enable complex projects and identify, recommend and implement transformational solutions for departments, sites, and shields. This may include strategy formulation, data analysis and applied analytics, operations research methods, new staffing models, organizational structures, workflow and throughput, and/or digital interventions.
• Possess experience with digitalization (strategy, execution, or optimization) and modeling.
• Independently structure complex project analysis needs and data drivers, drive data collection, and evaluate the impacts of solutions and create presentations synthesizing project findings.
• Leverage lessons learned to create best and next practice models, tools, frameworks and methods enabling sustained transformational capabilities.
• Mentor and coach Strategy Department Fellows, Associate Management Consultants, and Management Consultants.

*This position is a combination of remote and onsite support work. Individual must live within driving distance to the Mayo Clinic Rochester campus.

Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience OR Master’s degree and 3 years of related experience. Deep experience and expertise in one or more of the following: strategy design & planning, management. & systems engineering, applied analytics, operations research, process improvement, execution and implementation, digital technology enablement and/or innovating & scaling new products or services.

• Analytical and strategic thinker with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Experienced working in matrixed environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships at all levels of organization.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity.
• Executive level presentation, oral and written communication.
• Ability to influence without authority.
• Consulting experience in a client-facing role strongly preferred.

Compensation Detail
$115,918.40- $168,084.80 / year

Schedule details
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with flexibility to accommodate time zones and project needs.

Willingness to travel regionally, nationally and/or internationally.
