Why Mayo Clinic
Mayo Clinic Children’s Center is a premier medical provider to over 50,000 children and adolescents every year. Our over 200 physicians and surgeons across 40 specialties serve patients from our region, the nation, and across the world who travel to Mayo Clinic for the most rare, complex, and undiagnosed conditions in pediatric medicine. Embedded within the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, the Mayo Clinic Children’s Center thrives as a “Hospital within a Hospital” leveraging the expertise of world-wide experts across the lifespan along with access to cutting-edge technology, quality innovations, safety initiatives, and appointment efficiency.

The General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (GPAM) division is the home to the Mayo Clinic Pediatric Diagnostic and Referral Clinic (PDR) and the Complex Care Clinic (CCC). These clinics are staffed by 4 general pediatricians and one nurse practitioner who serve as diagnosticians and coordinating providers helping to deliver a child/family focused, highly integrated team-based approach. Our GPAM providers are integrated directly into our pediatric specialty center which allows close collaborations with specialists and our extensive pediatric support staff including pharmacists, social workers, nursing care coordinators and child life experts. GPAM is a consultative practice also responsible for bridging care back to, but not replacing, a patient’s medical home.
