The Information Management Analyst maintains a broad knowledge of Mayo Clinic's research, financial, and administrative systems and processes with an expert understanding of their interrelationship and dependencies. Responsible for working with division, department, and outside groups' (eg. NCI) customers to gather requirements involving as applicable the following activities: data modeling, data stewardship, data warehousing, applications, reports, and business intelligence applications. Responsible for ensuring plan, design, creation and quality of reports and assessing the performance of reporting tools. Works with data architects and the project team(s) to translate business functional requirements into technical specifications. Recommends appropriate scope of requirements. Assists in the identification and assessment of potential data sources. Coordinates prototype reviews with customers and technical support team. Conducts user acceptance testing. Maintains inventory and functional documentation incl. SLA's. Identifies report audiences, prepares training content, and leads customer training efforts required for the successful release of report/report application changes and additions.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field (business intelligence, MIS, HR, research, information systems, biostatistics) with six years related work experience or a Master's degree and three years related experience. Strong analytical, problem solving, metadata, project management, and systems' analysis skills. Must demonstrate ability to logically analyze and trouble shoot data. Able to facilitate a variety of teams and workgroups. History of increased project management responsibilities. Incumbent must be a self-motivated, self-directed and a highly organized individual who will promote a productive, collegial workplace and be a professional ambassador for Mayo Clinic. Belief in the mission and strong ethical conduct is essential. Requires the flexibility to work weekends and evenings when necessary. Occasional travel is required.

Looking for a candidate with SAS report development experience. Also of value, experience with “*nix” environments, or other BI tools such as Tableau, Business Objects, R, Microsoft BI, etc. Demonstrated SQL skills with knowledge of database and data structure in regards to reporting efficiencies. Candidate must be able to work both independently as well as within the team structure. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required when working with physicians/PIs, administrators, program managers and other Cancer Center staff both internally to Mayo and with external customers. Candidate must be able to be flexible with work assignments and changing priorities.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3128.00, based on a full-time position.
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm with additional hours as necessary to complete work.
