Position description
The Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is an occupational therapist or physical therapist who uses specialized skills in assessment and treatment to promote the goals of prevention of dysfunction, restoration of function, and / or reversal of the progression of pathology in order to enhance participation in life situations for individuals with upper quarter disease or injury. The CHT provides quality care to patients/clients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes. The CHT addresses risk, provides prevention services, promotes health and wellness, and provides consultation and education. The CHT interacts and practices in collaboration with a variety of professionals, participates in professional development and learning opportunities and assists in departmental organization, growth, and planning.
Successful completion of an accredited occupational therapy or physical therapy educational program and passed approved certification exam.
Additional qualifications
Doctor of Occupational or Physical Therapy preferred. Has successfully passed or is eligible to sit for the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) exam.
License or certification
Current Wisconsin License to practice Occupational or Physical Therapy or eligible for a Wisconsin License. Current BLS certification or completion within 60 days of hire.
Must be able to travel between sites as needed. If required to provide therapy services in another state, will be required to have a current license to practice Occupational or Physical Therapy in that state.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,074.88.
