The CRNA role is deeply embedded in the Mayo Clinic practice with Mayo Clinic Health System – Franciscan Healthcare School of Anesthesia program being the longest continually operating program in Wisconsin.

As a CRNA at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse you will be joining an Anesthesiology Department of nine anesthesiologists and twenty three CRNAs. Surgical specialties include general, vascular, thoracic, urology, obstetrics-gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery and podiatry, as well as procedures in the Cath Lab, Radiology and GI/Endoscopy. We also have a core group of CRNAs who provide obstetrical anesthesia services in our Family Birthplace. We have an additional core group of CRNAs who provide services in Sparta, a small outpatient only practice. All CRNAs provide on-site clinical and didactic instruction to student nurse anesthetists.

Successful completion of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council of Accreditation of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor. DNP preferred.
License or certification
Certified or eligible for certification as a CRNA by the council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or its predecessor. Current RN and Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber license in Wisconsin or eligible for licensure.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
We currently offer a combination of 8, 10 and 12 hour shifts. Call rotation is twice a month for weekdays, and every 10th weekend and holiday.
La Crosse, WI, is a city of 52,000 with a metro area of 120,000 in the Upper Mississippi River Valley, located between Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, and Madison, WI.
