Position description
The Flow Cytometry Medical Technologist contributes to the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients by the accurate performance and reporting of laboratory testing procedures on peripheral blood, body fluids, tissue and bone marrow. The individual must demonstrate knowledge in flow cytometric instrument operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and quality control. Prepare samples for cell counts, microscopic evaluation, staining, and data analysis. The flow cytometry laboratory technologist will perform leukemia/lymphoma panels, T and B cell analysis, plasma cell panels, and stem cell assays.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a health related field required.

Additional qualifications
Strong organizational skills and problem solving capabilities required. Experience as a Medical Technologist and good computer skills preferred. *** Strong Hematology, Coagulation and Flow Cytometry experience preferred ***
License or certification
Certification from AMT or ASCP in Medical Technology, Med Lab Science or a related specialty, preferred upon hire or required within 12 months of hire.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $28.79 per hour.
