Position description
The Division of Laboratory Genetics and Genomics within the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is actively recruiting an additional Co-Director of the Genomics Laboratory (combined cytogenetics and molecular genetics laboratories).

The Mayo Clinic is a unique practice environment, focused on the needs of the patient and dedicated to teamwork. Our Laboratory offers an unparalleled, robust and growing menu of tests to patients worldwide, including conventional chromosome analysis, FISH, chromosomal microarray platforms, and next generation sequencing essay (including mate pair analysis, MPseg) for the evaluation of hematologic specimens (including specimens for the Children’s Oncology Group; COG), as well as oncologic, and constitutional specimens. Our comprehensive test menu, robust test development activities, and unique group practice, composed of Cytogeneticists and Molecular Geneticists and Molecular Genetic Pathologists, offer a stimulating environment for professional growth and career development.
License or certification
Qualified candidates should have an MD/DO and/or PhD and be ABMGG board-certified or board-eligible in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) or Molecular Genetics and Cytogenetics. The ideal candidate would have a strong interest in neoplastic cytogenetics and molecular genetics, especially that of hematologic malignancies
