Mayo Clinic's premier urology practice excels in diagnosing and treating problems involving the male and female urinary tract and the male reproductive organs. From curing cancer to restoring fertility, treating kidney stones to addressing incontinence, the care Mayo Clinic urology experts deliver touches all aspects of life. Mayo Clinic's Department of Urology is composed of multiple subspecialty trained urologists, who have additional training in specialized surgical techniques. Our skilled team of experts works collaboratively with other specialty areas at Mayo Clinic — including internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, geriatrics and oncology — to provide highly complex care individualized to the needs of the patient.
Position description
The Department of Urology at our La Crosse, WI location will include three board-certified urologists and two advanced practice providers who have busy, general practices providing care in areas of focus including uro-gynecology, BPH, cancer, kidney stones and robotic surgery. Laparoscopic and robotic surgeries are performed in state-of-the-art OR suites at our 250-bed medical center. This opportunity will allow for expansion of robotic services and development of a sub-specialized urology care model and provide care in the clinical, surgical and hospital setting. Expertise in current urologic procedures and laparoscopic skills are beneficial by not required. Subspecialty interests or fellowship training are welcome.

  • Collaborative and collegial physician team
  • Providing outreach services will be part of the practice for at least 1-2 days a month
  • Call responsibilities equally shared among physicians
  • Potential blended opportunity for research or teaching at the Mayo Clinic Rochester practice
