The Department of Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is rapidly growing, with an ever-increasing demand for Mohs surgery, and invites applications for an open position as a Dermatologic Surgeon. The successful candidate will join the current highly productive and enthusiastic Mohs surgeon, and a very collaborative team of 4 medical dermatologists, 1 medical/pediatric dermatologist, 2 dermatopathologists, 3 APP’s and top-tier residents.
Interested candidates should have an interest in academic surgical dermatology with an emphasis on clinical practice, resident education, and research. The current consultant dermatologic surgeon practices in a collegial environment, with dedicated nurses, support staff and enthusiastic residents who participate in Mohs surgery rotations. The dermatologic surgical unit was relocated in July 2019 to a brand-new state-of-the art facility, with plans for future growth and expansion. The academic practice at Mayo Clinic FL is considered a regional center of excellence and destination medical center, and the Mohs surgery practice manages common skin cancers, as well as more complex and unusual surgical cases particularly in immunocompromised and transplant patients, offering opportunity for multidisciplinary collaboration and research across the practice.

License or certification
Candidates must be an MD/DO and must have completed a residency in dermatology accredited by the ACGME such that the candidate may become certified, or has already been certified, by the American Board of Dermatology Dermatology and eligible for medical licensure in the state of Florida.
Additionally, the candidate will have completed an ACGME and/or American College of Mohs Surgery Fellowship in Mohs Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology.
