Mayo Clinic is launching a new department, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics, a timely response to the tremendous challenges and opportunities that technologies such as big data and artificial intelligence bring to the digital health arena. The new department will serve as the academic home for highly collaborative, multidisciplinary faculty and staff who leverage data science, informatics, and digital technologies to enable scientific discovery, translation, and application of data, information, and knowledge to promote the wellbeing of patients. The department members have a variety of backgrounds formed to pursue integrative solutions that connect data, people, and processes to improve health.

Mayo Clinic is seeking candidates for an Open Rank Faculty position to advance artificial intelligence and informatics aligning with institutional priorities. Successful candidates will advance artificial intelligence and informatics in clinical and translational research, healthcare transformation, and precision medicine through methodology advancement and/or team science collaboration.
Candidates must have a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree in their respective disciplines (e.g., data science, computer science, statistics, informatics, social science, cognitive science, or engineering) with strong interests in advancing digital science, informatics, and artificial intelligence as applied to biomedicine and healthcare. Academic rank, salary, and start-up package will be commensurate with experience.
