Position description
This position is a key enterprise position managing Finance and Accounting Service’s (FAS) systems, data and analytics. Responsible for driving the vision, strategy, business requirements, and roadmap for FAS data, analytics and systems. Ensures alignment between FAS and the Department of Data & Analytics (DDA) priorities ensuring the finance end-user needs are met. Works with DDA leaders. Able to effectively articulate and align FAS requirements and end user journeys with DDA solutions that optimize end results in a cost effective way, while having an eye toward the future and scale. Actively seeks to understand new and emerging analytic technologies, their capabilities, pros/cons and potential applicability to FAS needs (now & future). Leverages customer feedback to inform and guide future development. Ensures the quality and integrity of the data/analytics/systems. Monitors and manages projects, scopes, budgets and delivery as scheduled. Ensures documentation and maintenance of data standards and metrics. Quickly build credibility and partnership with key internal partners and leaders. Provides leadership in a team environment supporting complex, ambiguous and highly visible multidisciplinary activities or projects. Actively communicates and presents information to various audiences. Coordinates the development of programs and tools for financial reporting for complex activities. Spearheads change and leads others in implementation. Leads and facilitates institutional workgroups or complex projects. Manages and prioritizes limited resources across single-function, multi-site teams to maximize efficiency. Handles ambiguous situations in a productive and professional manner and leads others through such situations successfully. Travel required as assignments warrant.
Bachelor's degree with eight years of applicable accounting or finance experience is required. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred. Five years of management or leadership experience is required. Masters degree in business related field or, a CPA (active or inactive), is preferred.

Has an expert understanding of accounting and finance principles and practices. Possesses and applies knowledge of institutional, clinical, financial and administrative systems and processes to achieve departmental priorities. Has solid knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Shows attention to detail, accuracy and ability to manage and prioritize resources; possesses professional skepticism. Exhibits a customer-service orientation; anticipates, understands and addresses customer needs in a timely manner. Working knowledge of large accounting and/or grant management systems. Ability to establish a productive team-based work environment and collaborate effectively across multiple sites. Demonstrable communication and presentation skills. Ability to lead or direct multiple complex projects and activities in an ambiguous environment. Possess initiative, analytical skills, and an ability to elicit a high level of productivity.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3964.80, based on a full-time position.

Normal hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Must be willing to travel to the site if need arises. Frequency is to be determined, but wouldn't be more than 3-5 times a month.
