Performs various services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comforts of clients in their place of residence under the direction of an RN.
High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
Requires willingness to work additional hours and shifts as necessary, and float to other job duties as needed.
Specific shift times may change in the future based on patient or business need.
Ability to function independently and maturely.
Ability to read, write, and carry out directions.
Ability to assemble, maintain and record data in an accurate record.
Must have sympathetic attitude toward the care of the ill.
Must understand the aging process.
Must have basic understanding of medications that are self-administered.
License or certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) required from one of the following:
1. American Heart Association
2. American Red Cross
Must have a current driver's license and driving record acceptable to hospital's liability insurance company.
Minnesota Nurse Assistant Certification required at time of hire.
Iowa Nurse Assistant Certification required within 90 days of hire.
Minimum rate is $15.06 based upon union contract.
Day shift, 0800 to 1630Rotating holidays
