Why Mayo Clinic
Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) seeking manager candidates to fill a leadership position within the HTM Imaging Unit. This Unit Head will supervisor Biomedical Equipment Repair and Imaging medical devices maintenance.

The person filling this position should have experience servicing Diagnostic Medical equipment and leading people who service Diagnostic Imaging equipment. The person should have experience interpreting electrical, HVAC and Chilled Water specifications and how they support imaging and x-ray equipment. The person must be able to work afterhours and weekends, often times on short notice, to support the needs of the division and the patients and departments is group supports.
Position description
The Unit Head leads and manages a Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) work unit and participates in the coordination and leadership activities of the section and division. Develops and maintains internal and external client and vendor relationships. Is a coach and mentor to staff within the work unit. Represent the unit to, and participate in HTM committees and task groups. Plans and manages Mayo resources (projects, people, facilities, money and equipment) in an effective and efficient manner. Develops and fosters strategies and directions that support section and division goals and objectives. Provide leadership in the selection, installation and ongoing support of medical equipment and information systems. May serve as Secretary, Assistant Secretary, or member of HTM for institutional committees.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, which includes 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience. Experienced with committee and consensus-managed, physician-led organization.

Requires skill in effective decision making and effective consensus management. Strong understanding of finance, business processes, budgeting and human resources development. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated history of continuing education in personnel and administrative processes. Experience with personnel management, resource allocation, coaching and mentoring.

Additional qualifications
Master’s degree preferred with 4 years of experience. Experience working in healthcare technology.

Experience with managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied products and services. Some travel may be required in this position.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $4,327 based on a full-time position.
