Seeking experience project management / program management candidates to fill an HTM Program Manager vacancy within our Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) Division.

Position description
The Program Manager works independently assuming primary responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating and delivering project activities through the entire project life cycle, initiation to customer hand off. Projects will be strategic in nature and involve interaction with staff across many internal areas. The primary effort will be to aid in practice convergence, expense reduction, business development and increased service/support levels through medical equipment standardization.



The Program Manager is responsible for achieving project objectives and completion on time, on budget, and in conformance to Mayo Clinic project management methodologies and standards. The incumbent may independently lead one or multiple medium to large projects that have department or enterprise strategic importance. Project work has moderate to high risk and interdependencies, may have several interrelationships, and may have moderate to high costs associated. Responsible for managing an established budget, participates in the creation and tracking of project budgets, and aids/consults in the overall lifecycle management of Mayo’s medical equipment. Position requires strict adherence to budget management and guidelines of both the assigned department and the institution. The Program Manager regularly provides project information to committees, project sponsors and department leadership as directed by the HTM Division Chair. Project information may be visible at the committee and Department level. May develop materials and present project requests to institutional committees and oversight bodies to receive approval, project direction and input. Must have strong business acumen with the ability to work with people from diverse functional backgrounds and build collaborative relationships across the organization. Performs additional job-related functions as detailed by immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
An Associate’s degree in a technical field, with progress toward a Bachelor’s degree, and 15+ years of internal/external experience working with the technical and business side of medical equipment support and asset lifecycle management. A Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience in Project Management and business related activities or Master's degree with 4 years of experience in Project Management related activities. Must have a demonstrated experience and ability to develop and manage enterprise-level medical equipment management programs.

Additional qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred. Education preference: project management, business administration, management, clinical engineering.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,976 based on a full-time position.
