The Enterprise Core Platform Services unit, within the Enterprise Platform Services Division, has an opening for a highly-motivated IT Senior Analyst/Programmer supporting the architecture and design of the API Management and Secure File Transfer Platforms.
Position description
Provides IT support for vended and custom applications, including resolving highly complex issues, and assists with data security, redundancy, and support.

Conducts root-cause analysis by researching hardware environment and software application and system problems, works with colleagues and customers to resolve issues, documents resolution, and communicates resolution with customer.

Regularly reviews applications and makes modifications and/or updates of a single system application or basic software and their associated hardware at multiple Mayo Clinic sites to ensure currency and functionality within the established environment.

Contributes to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom system software, and/or the installation and maintenance of purchased systems software, as well as the configuration and support of hardware systems across Mayo Clinic.

Produces and maintains documentation such as systems requirements, designs, resource inventories and plans as requested.

Participates on a high functioning Agile scrum team.

Provides guidance and coaching to less experienced teammates.

Interfaces routinely with colleagues who may be located at any of the Mayo Group practices to perform job responsibilities requiring virtual collaboration and partnership.

May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.

Successful candidates will have:
Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications.
Experience with Linux, Shell scripting, Python, infrastructure as code and automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
Demonstrated ability working with Networks, Firewalls and Load-Balancers.
Familiarity with administration of API management tools such as Akana and Apigee.
Familiarity with managing file transfer tools such as Cleo Harmony and Signiant Media Shuttle.
Experience with MongoDB and Elasticsearch is a plus.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience;

Or, Associate’s degree and 7 years’ experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience.

Possesses a high level of project and deliverable consistency through demonstrated repeatable and reliable performance. Evidence of ability to take initiative and proactive on starting tasks and assignments and ability to work independently. Experience working in healthcare technology. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications. Masters degree in applicable field preferred.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,035 based on a full-time position.
