Seeking Senior Analyst Programmer / Developer candidates to work in our Information Technology Division.
Position description
The Aging and Dementia Imaging Research Lab is an international leader in studies of Alzheimer’s disease and related Dementias. IT staff from the Research Application Solutions (RAS) Unit provide data management and processing expertise in support of that role. RAS has an opening for a highly capable person to build and support software for data management and analyses. Development is done in a collaborative environment that includes physicians, PhD scientists, biostatisticians and medical physicists.

The successful candidate’s primary responsibilities will be to design and support scripts or software applications in support of data management, data extraction, and data analysis. The successful candidate should be knowledgeable in the handling and design of repository systems to contribute to the development of internal databases, using PostgreSQL, and have experience with informatics methods used to analyze data. The candidate will be involved in troubleshooting data transfer issues, such as with DICOM, and may also serve as a tester for ADIR Lab Python, BASH, and MATLAB code development efforts.

Clear communication skills, both oral and written, as well as demonstrated desire for continuous learning are essential. Experience coding in Python is required. Fluency in the DICOM imaging standard is desired. Applicants should have experience developing version-controlled software in a Linux-based environment. MATLAB programming, Linux, and\ or PostgreSQL experience is considered a plus.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience; (Or, Associate’s degree and 7 years’ experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience.)

Evidence of project management skills. Possesses an objective and positive attitude with all tasks and projects. Possesses a high level of project and deliverable consistency through demonstrated repeatable and reliable performance. Evidence of ability to take initiative and proactive on starting tasks and assignments and ability to work independently. Experience working in healthcare technology. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications. Masters degree in applicable field preferred.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,035 based on a full-time position.
