Seeking an Senior IT Analyst - Programmer, ETL. The Operational Data Stores Services unit in the Data Delivery Services section is seeking a highly motivated Senior IT Analyst/Programmer to work with the unit data Integration teams. These teams are tasked with supporting the Administrative Data Warehouse for Enterprise Reporting and Analytics and the AllScripts EPSi application. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, strong process orientation, documentation experience, and experience with data warehousing. Knowledge of Azure Dev Ops (ADO) and ServiceNow is also desirable. The individual will partner with representatives from across the IT organization, Department of Data and Analytics, and Epic to successfully meet project timelines. Must have demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a dynamic team environment. Individual must contain strong communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with multiple groups outside of IT and Mayo. Commitment to establishing and meeting deadlines, taking initiative, and following through on tasks is extremely important.

Provides IT support for vended and custom solutions for the Operational Data Stores Services unit, including resolving highly complex issues, and assists with data security, redundancy, and support in collaboration with more senior technical staff.
Conducts root-cause analysis by researching hardware environment and software application and system problems, works with colleagues and customers to resolve issues, documents resolution, and communicates resolution with customer. Regularly reviews applications and makes modifications and/or updates of a single system application or data warehouse used at multiple Mayo Clinic sites to ensure currency and functionality within the established environment. Contributes to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom system software, and/or the installation and maintenance of purchased systems
software, as well as the configuration and support of application systems and data warehouses across Mayo Clinic. Produces and maintains documentation such as systems requirements, designs, resource inventories and plans as requested. Interfaces routinely with colleagues who may be located at any of the Mayo Group practices to perform job responsibilities requiring virtual
collaboration and partnership. May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience;
Or, Associate’s degree and 7 years’ experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field is preferred. This position
requires an understanding of information systems architecture and application development. Experience in development and implementation using industry standard relational database tools and technologies is preferred, but will also consider software
development training with an emphasis in relational database development tools and technologies. Candidate must have demonstrated analytical, technical design, and organizational skills. Preferred candidates will have experience with data modeling,
SQL, data warehouse structure, ETL development, or delivering Business Intelligence solutions.
Prefer candidates with experience using SAP’s Data Services ETL tool, Microsoft SSIS or another leading ETL tool. Must have demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a dynamic team environment, commitment to establishing and meeting deadlines, taking initiative, and following through on tasks. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate with technical and nontechnical personnel. Knowledge of system design principles, software development methodologies, and computer programming. Ability to take responsibility and accountability for own activities. Possesses ability to multi-task and prioritize issues appropriately. Aids in the evaluation of alternative approaches and may help in
presenting recommendations to teams and unit. Evidence of strong communication and organizational skills. May interface with vendor support service groups or other external support teams to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance. Experience working in healthcare technology. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications.
Applies effective system design principles and software development methodologies. Demonstrated ability to multi-task among multiple complex assigned tasks/projects. Evidence of strong communication, meeting management, and organizational skills and ability to adjust the message as appropriate to the audiences of varying technical capabilities. Evidence of project management skills. Possesses an objective and positive attitude with all tasks and projects. Possesses a high level of project and deliverable consistency through demonstrated repeatable and reliable performance. Evidence of ability to take initiative and proactive on starting tasks and assignments and ability to work independently. Experience working in healthcare technology. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications. Masters degree in applicable field preferred.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,035 based on a full-time position.
Hours / Pay period
M-F, 8am - 5pm. Schedule core hours may be flexible.
This vacancy may be open to full time telework candidates within the U.S./ reasonable travel to a Mayo facility if ever a business need/ meeting or client-facing.
