The Product Management Unit within theMayo Clinic External Patient and Provider Services (EPPS) Section is seeking ahighly motivated and skilled individual to join its Patient Online Servicesteam as an IT Sr. Analyst Programmer. EPPS supports the Centers for ConnectedCare and Digital Health with a mission of improving access, service, andaffordability of health care by using technology to extend Mayo Clinicknowledge and expertise to patients, consumers, and providers.

The position will develop, support andmaintain an inventory of external facing patient applications. The successfulcandidate will have proven skills in web development on the Microsoft .Netplatform and a passion for delivering high quality applications.

Position description
Responsibilities:
  • Contributes to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of custom system software, and/or the installation and maintenance of purchased systems software, as well as the configuration and support of hardware systems across Mayo Clinic
  • Provides IT support for vended and custom applications, including resolving highly complex issues, and assists with data security, redundancy, and support in collaboration with technical staff
  • Conducts root-cause analysis by researching hardware environment and software application and system problems, works with colleagues and customers to resolve issues, documents resolution, and communicates resolution with customer
  • Regularly reviews applications and makes modifications and/or updates of a single system application or basic software and their associated hardware at multiple Mayo Clinic sites to ensure currency and functionality within the established environment
  • Produces and maintains documentation such as systems requirements, designs, resource inventories and plans as requested
  • Interfaces routinely with colleagues who may be located at any of the Mayo Group practices to perform job responsibilities requiring virtual collaboration and partnership
  • Will participate in 24/7 on-call support rotation
Experience developing web applications utilizing Microsoft .Net MVC web development (C#). A strong background in object oriented design/development, design patterns, development frameworks and methodologies.

Experience with the following technologies and concepts is preferred: C# .NET, MS-SQL Server, Azure DevOps, application life cycle management, design patterns, frameworks and REST web services, HTML5, Angular, JQuery, Typescript.
Successful candidate will be a proven self-starter with the ability to take responsibility and accountability for own activities. Possesses ability to multi-task and prioritize issues appropriately. Experience optimizing web applications for viewing on a mobile device preferred. Evidence of strong communication and organizational skills. Candidate will be comfortable committing to and meeting deadlines; taking initiative; and exhibiting excellent follow through on tasks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years’ experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience; Or, Associate’s degree and 7 years’ experience, including 1 year demonstrated technical experience.

Evidence of project management skills. Possesses an objective and positive attitude with all tasks and projects. Possesses a high level of project and deliverable consistency through demonstrated repeatable and reliable performance. Evidence of ability to take initiative and proactive on starting tasks and assignments and ability to work independently. Experience working in healthcare technology. Exposure to managing both custom developed and vendor-supplied applications. Masters degree in applicable field preferred.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3,035 based on a full-time position.
