The IT Supervisor of the Telecommunications Operations Unit provides administrative, supervisory, and technical oversight for the IT work unit responsible for administrative and operational support of voice communication devices and software.
The supervisor develops and maintains a customer-focused and efficient work unit. They address customer service concerns and staff needs by initiating process improvement activities, procedure development, training, and other strategies. The supervisor participates in communicating, problem solving, resolving, and/or escalating complex services issues. They are responsible for collecting and maintaining productivity statistics and work unit metrics and establishing and monitoring work unit’s expenses and capital purchases. Other duties include; training, conflict management, performance management, and scheduling of work unit personnel.
H.S./GED with 9 years of related experience, which includes 6 years of demonstrated leadership experience and
3 years of demonstrated technical experience.
Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 5 years of related experience, including 4 years of demonstrated leadership experience; or Associate’s degree with 7 years of experience, including 3 years of demonstrated technical experience. Experience in customer support and service functions. Experience in customer service, allocation of staffing resources, continuous improvement methodology, and consensus management preferred. Experience working with Health Care Technology. Demonstrated team building and leadership skills and the ability to motivate and energize others while initiating and managing change in the implementation of new programs. Strong communication and computer skills.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2,644.00, based on a full-time position.
Work schedule will normally be business hours Monday - Friday. Occasional evenings or weekends for projects
