Position description
Responsible for oversight of laboratory support services and business operations for the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP). Provides coordination for and gives direction to the Mayo Clinic Phlebotomy and Central Processing areas. Manages a multi-campus department of over 100 employees. Ensures that all activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with proper procedure.

Responsible for performance improvement and business analytics support for DLMP. Works cooperatively with operations, management engineering, revenue cycle, and financial accounting services to optimize operational and financial performance.

Serves as an active member of the Laboratory Management Committee. Maintains an effective working relationship with a variety of individuals throughout the institution and may have contact with persons outside Mayo Clinic as job dictates. Reports to DLMP Operations Administrator.
Qualifications
MBA, MHA, Master’s degree in related field, or equivalent experience preferred. Progressive responsibility in previous supervisory or leadership roles will be considered. Must demonstrate the ability to provide leadership to multiple areas, (with proven effectiveness in decision making and problem solving).Must possess ability to manage multiple priorities successfully. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional qualifications
Experience in Lean Six Sigma, performance improvement, systems engineering, and business analytics preferred. Computer skills required.

Compensation Detail
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $3220, based on a full-time position.
