Non-Exempt position. Performs analyses on biological specimens, e.g. blood and urine, to aid health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Participates in the operational support activities necessary to maintain and optimize testing capabilities.
For MT-Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Medical/Clinical Laboratory Science, or health related field. Completion of a clinical laboratory internship required. A HEW certificate may be substituted for the specified degree. Applicants with a Baccalaureate Degree in a science or health related field with completion of a clinical laboratory internship or clinical laboratory experience will be considered in the appropriate field of study (i.e. Microbiology).
For MLT- Associate’s degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) program or U.S. military Medical Laboratory-training program.

Experience working in a medical field preferred. Moderate to advanced computer skills. Possess good written and oral communications skills. Ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Willingness to travel to other MCHS locations for assignments as needed.
Requires CV/Resume, unofficial transcript(s), and for foreign trained lab personnel to provide a detailed equivalency evaluation to include US equivalent degree at the applicants expense.

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $21.80 per hour for MLT and $27.13 for MT
Primarily day shift hours with one or two evenings every two weeks. A typical 2 week schedule can include start times of 6 am, 7 am, 8 am, and 3 pm. Hours are 8 1/2 hour shifts and are rotational for all day/evening techs. Trading is allowed to accommodate personal schedules.
Every 3rd weekend rotation. Weekend hours will cover all three shifts, one day shift per 9th weekend, one evening shift per 9th weekend, and one overnight shift per 9th weekend.
