Seeking .75 MR technologist who is a flexible, adaptable team player with excellent communication skills, who is also very patient-care oriented. Needs to have a dedicated work ethic and the ability to remain calm and professional in a high-stress, demanding, multi-tasking work environment while maintaining focus on the patient’s needs. Must be detail-oriented, possessing excellent MR-imaging technical skills with knowledge and experience in the major divisions; Neuro, Body and MSK with Breast and Cardiac also preferred. Must be willing to place IV's and know how to use a programmable injector. Needs to demonstrate very strong MR safety practices. Must be open and willing to accept direction and guidance from physicians, leadership and team members to fulfill department needs.
Operates the magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic cross-sectional images of any part of the body for review and interpretation by a radiologist.
Graduation from an ARRT-certified Health Science Program. One year technologist experience in one of the following: Radiography, MRI or Nuclear Medicine.
Knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span. The ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and appropriately interpret information. relative to the patient's age-specific needs. Technical competence with general radiographic equipment and procedures.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, making decisions and directing work and patient flow to maximize operational efficiency.
Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to customer service. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and completion of MRI-related courses preferred.
License or certification
ARRT certification in one of the following: Radiography (R), MRI (MR) or Nuclear Medicine (N). Arizona certification in one of the following: Radiography (CRT) or Nuclear Medicine (CNMT). ARRT (MR) required within 18 months of hire. Basic Life Support Certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $34.72 per hour.
30 Hours per pay week to provide coverage for shifts between 6:30AM and 7PM Saturday and Sunday/and M-F 5AM-11:30PM . It may be 8-hour shifts, 10-hour shifts or a combination of both. Working holidays is required. It will include working at both the Phoenix campus as well as the Scottsdale campus, with the need to travel between the two locations.
Weekend shifts are required as well as weekend call and holiday coverage. Weekend shift coverage currently ranges from 6:30AM to 7PM.
