Position description
The Neuroradiology Division of the Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, AZ seeks a board-certified, fellowship-trained neuroradiologist to join a growing subspecialty-focused division practicing in a collegial and supportive academic atmosphere. The division consists of a diverse, progressive team of nine neuroradiologists interpreting MRI, CT, and radiographic examinations and performing neuro-related procedures under CT and fluoroscopic guidance for adult patients. The position will not entail any neuroangiography or endovascular procedures. The Neuroradiology Division enjoys strong allied health, medical physics, and administrative support. Our new colleague will enjoy an academic 100% neuroradiology position that prioritizes clinical care, while offering exciting research prospects and teaching opportunities.

Mayo Clinic Arizona is consistently ranked No. 1 in the state of Arizona by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals and is the only Arizona hospital on the prestigious U.S. News Honor Roll (No. 16 in the U.S. overall). Mayo Clinic Arizona is a tertiary referral center for complex neurologic and head and neck disorders, has a top ranked medical school, and is also affiliated with Arizona State University through an Alliance for Healthcare partnership. The Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic Arizona currently has 50 radiologists, 5 physicists, and 16 residents. The residency program is top ranked, and we anticipate growth in the coming years. Radiology equipment currently includes 9 MRI (7 of which are 3 Tesla) and 6 CT scanners. The ongoing Mayo Clinic “Arizona. Bold. Forward” campaign has committed $750 million and an additional 1.4 million square feet to the Phoenix campus, which will double its size and result in 375 inpatient beds.

In line with this unprecedented growth, we are seeking an extraordinary academic neuroradiologist to help us build the neuroradiology practice of the future. The ideal candidate is an ABR and Neuroradiology Subspecialty-Certified neuroradiologist with an established academic interest and strong communication skills.
