Position description
Mayo Clinic Health System Family Medicine Department is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our family medicine clinic in Janesville. In this position the NP or PA will work independently with physicians and other NP and PA providers; the NP or PA will work with other skilled allied health personnel. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the lift span and have the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status. A requirement in the team based environment is the ability to appropriately interpret information relative to the patient's age-specific needs.

Position Details:
- General family medicine practice
- Outpatient Clinic
- Monday through Friday 8:00-5:00
- No Call
- See patients of all ages (Pediatrics - Geriatrics)
NP or PA experience preferred but required, will consider new graduates.

Master’s Degree in Nursing required for NP, Doctorate of Nursing Practice preferred or Master’s preferred.
Baccalaureate Degree accepted and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current certification by the NCCPA.

Need to be or have the ability to become Anticoag certified within the first 12 to 16 months.

Additional qualifications
Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and interdependently with other health care professionals. Have extensive patient assessment skills using diagnostic methods and instruments and possess ability to develop appropriate plan of care, modifying as indicated. Possess effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with patients, families and members of health care team.

License or certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Registered Nursing (RN) License or Physician Assistant (PA) license in state of Minnesota and NCCPA certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
