Position description
Mayo Clinic seeks candidates who are innovative, collaborative, compassionate and committed to providing the highest quality care to patients. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be an integral member of our outpatient Hematology group practice in the care for patients with hematologic diseases with a focus primarily on Lymphoma but will have the opportunity to learn other disease processes.. The role will involve the outpatient management of established and new adult patients. The Nurse Practitioners'/Physician Assistants' role includes diagnosis, treatment, evaluation and management of acute and chronic hematologic malignancies as well as assessing the educational needs and follow up care in these adult Hematology patients. In the Division of Hematology there is the potential to participate in research and publications. This is a busy practice with a consistent and growing patient demand for services.

The Hematology consultants are very supportive and this group has been a leader in care models that incorporate Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants into practice. This individual will work as a team with hematology consultants, fellows, nurses and other allied health staff. Our practice is unique in that we have the benefits of a teaching institution with a multitude of practice supporting education as well as a variety of research opportunities. Many unique opportunities are available due to Mayo Clinic being a referral center for rare hematologic disorders.

Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification as a FNP, ANP or ACNP. DNP preferred.

Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.

Must be eligible for DEA registration.
