Position description
The NP PA’s serve as an independent provider, collaborating with an on-site physician, teaming up to care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The NP PA will provide critical care, trauma and dialysis to adults as the majority of the patient census; may have some pediatric cases on occasion. NP PA’s complete admissions, provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription of pharmacological agents, referrals, patient education and complete discharges.
Minimum of one year experience as an advanced practice provider in a clinical setting is preferred.

Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN and APRN license and certified as an FNP, ANP or ACNP; or

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice.

The NP / PA must be eligible for DEA registration..
Additional qualifications
Strong written and oral communication skills are required and must have demonstrated skill in working collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required within one year of hire date
