Position description
The Department of Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our practice.

The Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) provides competent medical care to patients within scope of practice. Through a collegial and collaborative team approach, the NP/PA functions as an interdisciplinary team member in the delivery of high quality, cost effective care working alongside physicians, NP/PAs, pharmacist, behavioral health counselor, social work and nursing colleagues. The NP/PA exercises autonomy in medical decision making and provides a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for preventative care, acute/episodic care, and chronic disease management.
Qualifications
For Physician Assistant: Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant Program.

For Nurse Practitioner: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing from a Nurse Practitioner program.

Additional Qualifications: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge.
License or certification
For Physician Assistant: Current Wisconsin Physician Assistant License. BLS. Prescriptive Authority in the State of Wisconsin (WI Board of Medical Examiners and DEA).

For Nurse Practitioner: Active Wisconsin R.N. license or eligibility to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin. National certification (i.e. ANCC or AANP) as a Nurse Practitioner. Wisconsin state APNP certification, DEA. BLS.
