Position description

Provide Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP/PA) support to a dynamic Neurosurgical practice located in Mankato. Practice areas include time in the Operating Room, Hospital and Clinic settings. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in all of these areas. Currently the group consists of 3 surgeons and 2 Advance Practice Providers. Subspecialties/service lines: spine, brain tumor, skull base, neurovascular, and peripheral nerve. A physician and a NP/PA are always on call to cover inpatient needs, emergency room consults, and operating room needs.

Qualifications
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner. Current Minnesota RN license and certification as a FNP or ANP.

Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and licensure as a PA by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.

Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges

Special Skills: Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and interdependently with other health care professionals. Have extensive patient assessment skills using diagnostic methods and instruments and passes ability to develop appropriate plan of care, modifying as indicated. Possess effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with patients, families and members of health care team.
