The Mayo Clinic Health System Otorhinolaryngology Department in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our practice. The NP/PA will partner with 4 Physicians and 1 Nurse Practitioner in a collaborative team effort to provide a complete scope of care for patients (provider would be expected to see adult and peds patients)
The provision of care includes but is not limited to initial clinic assessments, preoperative workups, postoperative follow-ups, and new consults from the surrounding clinics or in the hospital or emergency room. Common ENT office based procedures. With experience, running an independent clinic in an outreach location within the Mayo Clinic Health System would be expected.
- Assist the needs of the ENT department in clinic and hospital settings.
- Responsible for performing hospital consults and rounding on ENT patients
- Advance practice provider will take call Monday-Friday 8-5 (primarily for hospital consults).
- Clinic work entails everything from new consults, post ops checks, ear cleaning, and has the ability to advance into performing clinic based procedures of the head and neck including endoscopy.
- Outreach to neighboring Health System sites (Menomonie and Rice Lake) once experienced.
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and nurse practitioner program. Current Wisconsin RN license and certification, or eligible to be certified, as an FNP. Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by the NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Wisconsin State Board of Medical Practice. The NP/PA must be eligible for DEA registration.

2-3 years of ENT or Family Practice APP experience is preferred.
License or certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Physician Assistant certification granted by the NCCPA and Physician Assistant license in the state of Wisconsin OR FNP certification with licensing in the state of Wisconsin.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
Full-time. Monday through Friday, day shift. (0.9 FTE, 72 hours per two week pay period)
Outreach travel to Menomonie and Rice Lake clinics 2-3 days/week expected.
