Position description
The Preoperative Evaluation (POE) Clinic cares for patients who are scheduled to undergo a planned surgical procedure. Services offered at the clinic are designed to identify current and unrecognized diseases and risk factors that may increase surgical risks, and then to provide perioperative strategies and treatments to optimize risk reduction. The POE Clinic is staffed by a multidisciplinary, integrated team of providers and allied health staff who offer a comprehensive (and focused) approach to evaluations including history and physical examination, laboratory, imaging and psychological evaluation.

Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current Minnesota RN license and certification or eligible to be certified as an ANP, GNP or FNP.

Or graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the Minnesota State Board of Medical

DEA registration will be required. BLS certification required.

Additional qualifications
Experience as an Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is highly preferred. Experience in a surgical or procedural area or related specialty preferred.
