This position is a fantastic opportunity for senior RN students to gain further clinical experience in the ambulatory care setting prior to graduating. The Nurse Tech role will assist with both direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a RN. You will be able to experience and learn a wide array of various clinic-based tasks in our GI Department. Following orientation, this position may also float within the Department of Nursing pending the needs of our patients.
The nurse technician performs delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse(RN). The designated tasks are those which have been taught in the academic programs and/or orientation, and where the individual has demonstrated competence to a designated RN. The functions are those limited by law to unlicensed personnel.
Successful completion of junior year of baccalaureate nursing program or successful completion of 3 semesters of associate nursing program. Successful experience in clinical areas as described in instructor references to perform the functions which are within this job description. Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS).
Able to adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting and deal with stress caused by the care of patients.
License or certification
Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS).
The pay rate is $15.73 per hour.
Monday-Friday, daytime hours, shifts vary
