Provides direct and indirect resident care under the direction of a registered nurse in the appropriate setting across the continuum of care. Communicates with the nurse about changes in resident’s clinical condition, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Enrolled in a nursing program of an accredited school of nursing leading to registered or practical nurse licensure. Successful completion of a pharmacology course as part of the nursing school curriculum. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic Computer knowledge.
Prefer one year of experience in long term care.
License or certification
Current BLS Certification, or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $15.02 per hour.
Day/evening 8 hour shifts
Varying start times
This position is limited tenure, currently through 6/30/2021, to support COVID-19 pandemic work. The end date will be extended as/if needed.
Every other weekend (weekend 2).
