Seeking Occupational Therapists to work in neuro setting including Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, acute neuro and outpatient. Staff rotate between each area. Expertise in working with patients with neurological conditions is preferred. Options available to work in specialty areas including assistive technology, wheelchair seating, vision, cognition.
Therapists are responsible for the application of current knowledge, theory, evidence and sound clinical judgment in patient management. The therapist works closely with the patient, family and other members of an interdisciplinary team to provide efficient and effective individualized patient care. Therapists also serve as advocates and promoters of health, wellness, and fitness to all stakeholders. They serve as educators and mentors for therapy students, peers and other medical professionals. The occupational therapist assists with department and program planning.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota as an Occupational Therapist.
Demonstrated skills in the areas of organization, communication, interpersonal relations, leadership, decision making and problem solving.
Prefer board certification in clinical specialty area and/or advanced degree in health care field.
Also prefer active participation within professional organization.
License or certification
Current occupational therapy licensure in the state of Minnesota.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2492.80 based on a full-time position.
Weekdays Monday through Friday, days off given when weekends are worked.
One weekend per month, days off given during week when staff work weekends
