Responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician, determined by a recognized plan of care. Administers treatments in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following an injury, disease or physical disability. Assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, and creates physical coping strategies in instances of permanent disability. Delegates and monitors treatment provided by the Occupational Therapist Assistants. The Occupational Therapist coordinates, delegates and supervises responsibilities assigned to supportive staff (Rehabilitation Tech). The Occupational Therapist participates in operational aspects of the department, . Maintains awareness of budgetary and fiscal responsibility as it pertains to wages, overtime, productivity, and continuing education. Takes appropriate action to remain in budget guidelines. Ensures that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis. Participates in all mandated departmental and organizational educational programs.
Successful completion of Registry Examination post graduation from accredited school. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Strong written and verbal skills. Basic computer knowledge. Knowledge of physical medicine, occupational therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology. Knowledge of physical and occupational therapy machine operation, maintenance and repairs of same. Decision-making and problem solving. Team building skills.
Prefer 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapy.
License or certification
Licensed or eligible for Occupational Therapy license in the state of Wisconsin. Current BLS certification. Drivers License may be required depending on location of hire.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $28.79 per hour.

Department hours are Monday through Friday 8 to 5. Primary job responsibilities with be in the inpatient environment with regional coverage as needed. This is a supplemental position with no set or guaranteed shifts.
Weekend rotation 1 in 4
