Position description
Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a fellowship-trained Neurotologist to join our talented Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. The position is open to MD or MD/PhD individuals who are board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, have fellowship training in an accredited neuro-otology program and are eligible for a Florida state license.

At Mayo Clinic, the experts in the otology and neurotology specialty group use the latest technology and techniques, including microsurgery, reconstructive surgery and implantable hearing devices. Conditions treated include all ear conditions, from common to complex.

The qualified candidate will join 7 experienced Otolaryngologists in the department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Florida, as well as the Mayo Clinic system which focuses on world-class patient centric tertiary care. The applicant will transition into the role of the current Neurotologist, who has been at Mayo Clinic Florida for over 20 years and is moving towards retirement.

The areas of desired expertise include:
  • Acoustic neuroma (vestibular schwannoma)
  • Cochlear implants for deafness
  • Superior semicircular canal dehiscence
  • Cholestestatoma
  • Otosclerosis and other causes of hearing loss
  • Skull base surgery
License or certification
Board certified/eligible by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, have fellowship training in an accredited neuro-otology program and are eligible for a Florida state license.
