Position description
Night shift Pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care in coordination with other health care professionals to deliver safe, appropriate and cost effective drug therapy to patients.
Qualifications
Minimum education required is a B.S. in pharmacy with 2 years work experience or a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
Additional qualifications
An advanced degree (MS, PharmD) or residency is preferred. Experience in inpatient or outpatient pharmacy practice is preferred. Board Certification by the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties is preferred. Previous experience in applicable specialty practice area is preferred.
License or certification
Eligible for licensure by the Florida Board of Pharmacy. BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.

This full-time position provides overnight coverage for the Hospital/Institutional practice. This overnight practice includes consultative and distributive Pharmacy Service activities. The current night shift rotation is seven nights of shift coverage followed by seven nights off; night shift coverage alternates between two pharmacists during a two-week period.
