This includes assessment and evaluation of cognitive, sensory, neurological, musculoskeletal, functional, and physiological status. The PT develops a plan of care, performs treatment as indicated, assesses patients' response to treatment, and assists with discharge planning. The PT utilizes exercise, equipment, and physical agents to improve strength, balance, coordination and range of motion, and to decrease pain to restore a patient's optimal mobility and functional ability.
