This position will be located in Singapore, with the potential to consider other locations as appropriate. The Regional Director - International has a primary commercial responsibility for proactively generating and promoting new business opportunities and products/ services for Mayo Clinic in support of strategic initiatives. In addition, this position is responsible for managing the process of identifying, evaluating and proposing new strategic business opportunities working in partnership with the Physician and Administrative leadership of various Mayo Clinic areas. Responsibilities include structuring and negotiating commercial terms and partnership arrangements as well as being accountable for completing and finalizing strategic business opportunities in support of Mayo Clinic initiatives. Activities include developing business plans for strategic business opportunities, staff management of regional teams, oversight of financial performance, and site visits. The position will develop strategies to initiate and/or take advantage of new/emerging business opportunities that engender and support positive financial returns, and speed in execution of targeted priorities.
Master's degree and ten years business experience required. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience required. Demonstrated ability in generating new business, analyzing and reporting on new business opportunities, representing senior levels of an organization globally required.
Frequent travel required. Other required skills include creativity, excellent communication (written and oral) skills, strong financial analysis, and strategic and innovative thinking capabilities. Must have ability and confidence to effectively function independently, be a self-starter, a team player and have lead direct reports in previous positions. Ability to effectively present to internal and external groups at a high level representing the leadership of the organization.
MBA degree and business experience in a smaller, entrepreneurial company situation as well as experience in a large corporate environment, where business skills and knowledge have been gained (including operational, strategic, financial, marketing) preferred.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
Frequent travel required.
This position will be located in the Asia Pacific region.
